Grades 1-4

No class Oct 23

Heads up! This class has already started.

Introducing a new STEAM program offered by Snapology. Students will experience 4 different programs during this 8 week session.

Class capacity:
Minimum: 10 students (registered by Sept 3)
Maximum: 16 students

ANIMAL EXPLORERS
In Snapology’s Animal Explorers class, students will learn where animals live and why an animal’s habitat is important for survival. Through stories, games, and building animals using LEGO® bricks, students will be busy exploring biomes of the world while gaining critical social and developmental skills without even realizing it!

FOUNDATIONAL ENGINEERING
This program gives your student the tools they need to understand mechanical movement and the importance of simple machines. They will see these moving parts up-close as they follow instructions to build various machines and contraptions, then use the models to develop new design ideas, test out physics concepts, and even play games with their classmates.

BOT BUILDERS WITH CUBELETS®
In this challenge-focused program, students will begin to develop their
computational thinking skills by playing with modular, robotic cubes known as
Cubelets®! They will work in small teams to figure out how to create lighthouses, racer bots, wheelie bots, goofy animals, and more while solving challenges!

BRICK ART & DESIGN
In Snapology’s Brick Art and Design Lab class, children will draw inspiration
and guidance from great works of art like Da Vinci’s "Mona Lisa", Van Gogh’s
"Starry Night", Wright ’s "Falling Water". As your child earns about different types of art and the periods in which they were created, students will also be interpreting what they see and creating their own works of art out of LEGO® bricks.
