Sew Fun 201

Rising Grades 6 & up
Jul 15-19, 2024
12:00-2:30

Prerequisite for this class is required. If you attended last summer’s class, Sew Fun 101, or if you have basic knowledge of the parts of a sewing machine and how to use one, this is the class for you.

The camp will be slightly advanced from the intro class. We will spend a little time on the first day, reviewing the basics from last year. After that, we will begin our first project right away. Some things you will learn are, how to use a pattern, how to machine sew a hem, inserting a zipper, making button holes, and much more. You will be making projects to take home throughout the week.

It is preferred that you have your own machine or access to one. If so, please bring it the first day of camp. It is better to learn and become familiar with your own machine, or one that you might use at home. If you don’t have one, one will be provided for you to use.

Please bring your basic sewing supplies from last year, sewing scissors, measuring tape, seam ripper, pins, and chalk.

Participants will receive material and supplies to create 3-4 projects.
