Handwriting Workshop

Rising Grades 3-5
July 18-22, 2022
10:15-11:15

This workshop, led by a licensed pediatric occupational therapist, will use a multi-sensory learning approach to target the 8 key concepts to legible handwriting: writing line names, letter line names, starting points, touch points, letter sizes, formation, and spacing between words and letters.

These concepts will be taught through music, visual supports, game play, peer collaboration, and other engaging activities that can be modified for all ages and skill levels.

The key concepts are pulled from the Size Matters Handwriting Program (SMHP) as well as occasional concepts borrowed from Handwriting Without Tears (HWT). This workshop runs for 5 days, one hour per day.
