Field Hockey Spring Clinic - Beginner
Mondays Mar 2 - Apr 6 (No Mar 23 or 30)
BEGINNER CLINIC - for those who have taken 1 or 2 previous clinics or have never played at all.
This clinic will allow your player to evolve their skills as a field hockey player. These skills will include, but are not limited to, learning how to use their skills to play as a team, how to play each position, the differences between offense and defense on the field, how to move throughout the space with various passing drills, various scoring techniques, and more advanced stick skills.
The clinic will be held inside, but could move outside, weather permitting.
April 6th will be a play day with a scrimmage to wrap up the clinic.
All players need to wear a mouth guard, shin guards and appropriate footwear. They should also bring a water bottle and a stick if they have one, but extra sticks will be available.
A field hockey starter pack can be purchased at https://stx.com/fieldhockey or on Amazon by searching for “STX Field Hockey Rookie Starter Pack with Goggles.”
With your registration, it is required for you to receive and review information pertaining to concussions and Lindsay’s Law (sudden cardiac arrest). This may be reviewed HERE .Instructor: Sarah Farkas, OHHS Field Hockey Coach
