Football - Flag (3rd-5th Grade)

Youth Flag Football House League - Back by popular demand!

Open to grades 3-5.  The league will follow the USA Flag Football Rules and Regulations. 

Practices: Two pre-draft practices will be held on August 26 & 28 from 6:00-7:00pm to introduce coaches and players to the game.  Coaches will draft players after the second practice on August 28. After teams are formed, coaches will hold practices for their individual teams starting the week of September 2, times and dates TBD. 

Games: Start Monday September 9 on the practice fields..  Games are tentatively set for Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:00 & 7:00 with each team playing just one game a night (a specific schedule will be sent out after teams are established). The season will included 9 games and culminate with a championship game on October 9.

Coaches are needed!  No previous football experience necessary.  Coach Neuendorf will hold a coaches meeting for all interested prior to the season to go over strategies and rules for the game.  

Registration cost includes a team shirt.  Each player will be responsible for their own shorts and cleats.  The flags and balls will be provided by the league.

CONCUSSION INFORMATION

Starting April 26, 2013, the Ohio Department of Health requires parents and athletes to receive concussion information annually for each sport.

LINDSAY'S LAW (SUDDEN CARDIAC ARREST)

In accordance with Lindsay’s Law, the Ohio Department of Health, the Ohio Department of Education, the Ohio High School Athletic Association, the Ohio Chapter of the American College of Cardiology and other stakeholders jointly developed guidelines and other relevant materials to inform and educate students and youth athletes participating in or desiring to participate in an athletic activity, their parents, and their coaches about the nature and warning signs of sudden cardiac arrest.
