Jul 29 - Aug 2 9:00-12:00
Science Olympiad Team Competition Camp is an amazing way to get students interested and excited about many areas of science and math in a fun, competitive and engaging way. Students will be divided into teams where they work collaboratively on various events with other 6-8th graders.
Current high school members of the State Qualifying Ottawa Hills Science Olympiad team will serve as coaches and mentors building great relationships and experiences for Ottawa Hills students in grades 6-12. Some of the exciting events include Crime Busters, Density Lab, Anatomy and Physiology, Boomilever, Disease Detectives, Dynamic Planet, Elastic Launch Glider, Fossils, Heredity, Meteorology, Mystery Architecture, Potions and Poisons, Road Scholar, Shock Value, and Solar System.
The week long camp will culminate in an all day competition where teams will compete for ultimate bragging rights as the Science Olympiad Team Camp Champion in each event. Class on the last day will go past 12:00 due to the competition and awards ceremony. More details about that will be given during the camp week.
Maximum class size: 40 students
All participants will receive an official Ottawa Hills Science Olympiad team shirt, pizza on the last day and awards. Please submit your t-shirt information HERE.
