Intro to Robotics: Clawbots, (Rising 7th Graders & 8th Graders - See Note)
June 3-7 9:00-12:00
Are you interested in Robotics? Get a head start on Junior High STEM by learning some of the skills students will learn in the Robotics unit of their 7th grade STEM course. Students will build a clawbot using the VEX EDR Robotics platform while learning basic programming skills: both programming the robot to drive autonomously and programming a remote control to drive the robot.
The excitement will build when the students will use these skills in various small competitions as well as a larger competition on the last day. These competitions will give the students a sneak peek in to what it would be like to participate in the JH/HS Robotics Club.
Special thanks to the Ottawa Hills Schools Foundation for helping fund this camp.
Please note: Registration is open to Ottawa Hills students ONLY entering 7th grade in the fall of 2018 and also to any 8th graders who have not previously attended this camp.
