Field Hockey Beginners Clinic - Grades 2-4
Tuesdays, Mar 12 - Apr 9 (No class March 26)
Players will learn the basics of field hockey in this weekly clinic. This will include, but is not limited to, field positioning, stick handling, and off-ball movement. This instruction will focus on the individual learning the sport. This is a great way to introduce your player to the joys of field hockey! They will learn the basic skills that will be used throughout their field hockey career.
The clinic will be held inside, but will move outside, weather permitting.
All players need to wear a mouth guard, shin guards and appropriate footwear. They should also bring a water bottle and a stick if they have one, but extra sticks will be available.
A field hockey starter pack can be purchased at https://stx.com/fieldhockey or on Amazon by searching for “STX Field Hockey Rookie Starter Pack with Goggles.”
Starting April 26, 2013, the Ohio Department of Health requires parents and athletes to receive concussion information annually for each sport.
