Kombucha Making Class

Thursday Feb. 22

Kombucha, a fermented tea, has become the drink of the new millennium.  Tea, (white, green, oolong, black) is fermented with cane sugar to produce a slightly acidic-tasting beverage.  It has naturally occurring live and active probiotics that are shown to improve the health of your gut.  Brewing your own Kombucha is easy, fun, and economical.  Join Mary Machon, village resident to learn how to brew and flavor your own Kombucha.  You will receive a pint jar of starter liquid with your very own SCOBY (Symbiotic Culture Of Bacteria and Yeast) and be able to begin your own brewing immediately.  She will also show you flavoring techniques and other uses for your Kombucha such as vinegar and shrubs.  Kombucha brewing is easy and fast.  Come learn how to brew a healthy drink for you and your family.
