Intro to Robotics: Clawbots, (Rising 7th Graders), June 12-16
Sponsored by the Ottawa Hills Schools Foundation
Are you interested in Robotics? Get a head start on Junior High STEM by learning some of the skills students will learn in the Robotics unit of their 7th grade STEM course. Students will build a clawbot using the VEX EDR Robotics platform while learning basic programming skills: both programming the robot to drive autonomously and programming a remote control to drive the robot.
The excitement will build when the students will use these skills in various small competitions as well as a larger competition on the last day. These competitions will give the students a sneak peek in to what it would be like to participate in the JH/HS Robotics Club.
Special thanks to the Ottawa Hills Schools Foundation for helping fund this camp.
Registration is open to students entering 7th grade in the fall of 2017 and enrolled in Ottawa Hills Local Schools.
Maximum class size: 24
All students who register prior to June 1 will receive a Village Life Summer Camp T-shirt. After June 1, shirts will be avilable while supplies last. Please submit your order HEREInstructor: Patty Dowd, OH Junior/Senior High STEM Teacher
