An event to remove invasives in Ottawa Hills will take place on Sunday, Nov 10th from 1 pm - 4 pm. We'll be helping to cut and treat invasive plants near the Ottawa River floodplain (things like honeysuckle and buckthorn). Wild Ones Members Kate Mason-Wolf and Kim Smith have adopted this area for the Adopt-A-Natural-Area (AANA) program, which is sponsored by the Green Ribbon Initiative. Some of you have helped us through the summer, and we're making wonderful progress but there's still much to be done!

The worksite is along the east edge of the sledding hill on Brookside Road in Ottawa Hills. We'll be parking along the road. A close physical address is 4044 Brookside Rd. There is some road construction in the area, but you will be able to drive around the construction signs.

Please bring water, and wear long pants, closed-toe shoes, and work gloves. If you have hand pruners or long-handled loppers, feel free to bring those as well. We will have some tools available at the site.

Please RSVP for this event to or call/text 419-260-6412.

Thank you and we hope to see you there!
